We had a wonderful evening for dinner at the keg this evening. Our meal was absolutely delicious and the service was nothing short of top notch. Matthew was our waiter and he really was excellent. He asked us if we'd like to see the dessert menu....and I had said no thank you because we were going home for a birthday cake. 5mins later he came back with this absolutely delicious piece of mocha ice cream delight cake with 2 forks and said that he knew we were heading home for birthday cake, but to please enjoy this and a very Happy Birthday to the Birthday boy. We were wowed big time by this very kind gesture. Thank you to Matthew for making our keg experience absolutely amazing and for the kindness. Customer service +++++++.We will definitely be back and hopefully lucky enough to have Matthew as our waiter again.
Nice location overlooking St John's harbour. Nice multi storey restaurant. Great wine selection. The food is good, obviously their specialty is steak, but there is other items on the menu that should appeal to most if not all in the group. If they are very busy, there is very nice seating in the bar area that have a nice view of the harbour.
Server was very nice and helpful. She did forget our wine, but offered us free desert which was appreciated. Steak and lobster was delicious, though I did expect the lobster tail to be better.
Service was excellent. We didn't run out of drinks or water. We ended up at a great table away from all the hustle and bustle. Meals were hot and steaks were all cooked correctly. They allowed subs on sides so I could get exactly what I wanted. Would reccomend a reservation though as I'm sure we would have had a long wait otherwise.
Huge building. The inside is absolutely beautiful. Our service was top notch and the food was delicious as it always is with The Keg. You have an amazing view of the harbour and the patio is probably the best in the province with a fireplace overlooking the water. You definitely need to eat here if visiting or from St John's.
