What a space! NL has outdone itself with a museum that does an incredible job of sharing their rich and colourful history. We were lucky enough to take in an exhibition of their contributions or more appropriately, their sacrifices of the Great War, particularly the Battle of Beaumont-Hamel. This was made special with the help of descendents of those who served in a variety of capacities including nurses and foresters as well as soldiers, recounting their family members role, contributions and the price they paid.Things are always changing at The Rooms but there is something for everyone. From cod to music, Cabot to Confederation and beyond, their stories are told through art and artifacts.

Very modern and clean museum. It was actually much bigger then I thought and took me a few hours to finish which I was pleasantly surprised. The rates were reasonable. Lots of history and art which was a nice mixture. Spent a great Sunday afternoon there and got to learn a lot about the area.

Spent 4 hours walking all the different exhibits everything was great. The place was super clean and the staff were very helpful. Everything was laid out great! From Newfoundland wildlife, and the history of Newfoundland in the war it was super informative. We finished the afternoon with supper at the cafe. Some of the best food in the city, and a very reasonable price. The server made 2 perfect recommendations after we couldn't decide. Everything from start to finish was great.

Organized a tour here for some of the international students of the university. The tour group visited the place at around 7pm and left at around 8pm. One of the students realized that they left their bag at the reception upon returning home and it was almost the Rooms' closing time. I would like to thank the Rooms for helping the student retrieve her bag despite the late hour!

An absolutely stunning display of Newfoundland history. The place was very clean, and great display throughout, all categorized by occasion. Then there was a little area where there were several musical instruments, and many people would just gather and play, and just enjoy being a part of a community. The gift shop was great, and to top it off, the people working there were quite friendly.I highly recommend this place to anyone that visits the area.
