A place steeped in history, both the people that work there as well.as guests as well as all the memorabilia in the Crows Nest. Only open to non members on Fridays for lunch. Good food. Choose typical Newfoundland plates.
Unique experience. Wonderful evening with friends.
Awesome pub. Very historical. Has the periscope from a captured world war 2 German submarine. It requires constant maintenance though, and while functioning may not always have a clear view due to condensation. The beauty of this historic pub commemorating those that defended our freedom on the high seas, is simply world class.
A great piece of history hidden away. Marine, naval, WW2, escort vessel officer hangout. Gun shields and naval memorabilia. Cozy. Serves lunch. Open to public but closed for some members only functions like Friday evenings. U-boat periscope.
So much fun to visit this pub and talk with the old guys. Lots of history to see.
