Great historic building. We had great, interesting guides. Typical of all Newfoundlanders. Could have talked for hours. Learned much about the history of St. John's.

This is a nice example of 1800s St John's. There is the house and office to view. The staff are very knowledgeable and of course friendly. The guides really help to make the time period come alive with their knowledge of the period. The grounds are nice to walk around. The site is located next to the Lieutenant General's presidents which also has beautiful grounds as well as gardens.
Fantastic historical site. Always has a few activities for kids. At Christmas time, it has special activities for families and often has a formal dinner fundraiser for the adults.
