This location is constantly growing and expanding due to surrounding neighbours and towns. I recommend you take a look at it on the map to get a better idea of the stores in the general area. Wal-Mart, Winners, Canadian Tire, Michaels, Costco to name a few. I do find it can get a little congested on the weekend and during major holidays.
Smart Centers in St John's, on Stavanger Drive, is where I do most of my shopping. Everything is in one area, which is great for me. I have a long way to travel to get my shopping done, so not having to run all over the place is wonderful. I can go from Dominion, to Walmart, to Costco, to Michael's, grab a coffee at Tim Hortons, and head back for the boat. It is a very convenient day out for me.
Good selection of stores and services. Free parking and plenty of it at all stores. Ttaffic flow is good.
The City of St. John's really needs to hire a planner who knows something about urban planning and traffic rather than the YouTube educated department they currently have. Both so-called "smart centres" in St. John's are a bottle neck for traffic. While Kelsey fares a little better than Stavanger both are choked by the streets that feed then.Torbay Rd is practically impassable from 4 to 7pm and since they've added a dozen traffic lights to kenmount road they've rendered that a parking lot without giving any thought to upgrading the access to the smart centres. Not very smart in my opinion.
Lots of parking. Easy to access. Newer building design.
